What does your job as Business Developement entail?

My role involves account managing for a great group of clients from the far North, through to Bay of Plenty and right to the far south! I also head up the Marketing team and help with early project identification and support to ensure they are delivered in full and on time.

What do you love about Advance Flooring?

I find the full cycle of projects satisfying - from identifying projects early on, then supporting the architects through the full design phase, through to supporting the flooring contractors and then the sales team to ensure it's delivered in full and on time.

I am also 4th generation now in the family business, and the experience that is brought through from the warehouse teams through to the office team is quite amazing with a huge array of stories and experiences!

What is your history in flooring?

I have worked with the business since I was an early teen, doing sampling, manufacturing entrance mats, picking orders and learning the basics. This experience has proven invaluable as I now have a deep knowledge of all the products, the team and the customers.

What is your favourite Advance Flooring product? And why?

We manufacture and distribute many amazing products, but Shuttle is one of the many products that we manufacture and would be a favourite due to its unique design, locally manufactured materials and ability to be customised to be used in so many applications. CoralTread is another amazing product that has evolved to continue to meet the market demand since it was introduced in 1989 - over 30 years and it's still NZ's most specified commercial entrance mat.

How do you unwind?

I really enjoy getting to the beach for fresh air with friends and family, as well as going on a hike to see NZ's amazing landscape. I live for BBQ's and enjoying good company, ideally around a fire. I also enjoy biking, rugby, cricket and going to the gym as a way of detaching from work for a few hours.

I thoroughly enjoy travelling, especially to South America to see family in Argentina - which is a place everyone needs to visit one day! It's culture, history and scenery is amazing.
