Architects Warren and Mahoney selected the tonal warmth of Canvas carpet tiles from Advance Flooring to cultivate a warm, assured and timeless look.

‘The suites are a combination of intentional universal design and strong experiential storytelling,’ says Harry Denley, Senior Interior Designer at Warren and Mahoney. 'This gives them a point of difference in a saturated market.'

Inspired by the essence of Aotearoa

The design narrative takes inspiration from the unique geography of Aotearoa, specifically the shifting tectonic plates that form the country’s spine.

'Drawing on the way tectonic plates shift over, under and past each other, we layered walls and doors in a way that they appear to 'shift' past each other to create a sense of privacy and intrigue,’ says Harry.

'To enhance intuitive navigation, the design incorporates distinct sculpture carved into walls at each office entrance. A shared lounge and boardroom offer a refined space for solace and connection, providing areas to greet, wait and work for staff and visitors to the floor.'

BLOQ Canvas carpet tiles in contrasting yet complementary tones were chosen to create an atmosphere of simplicity and refinement. Lighter carpet in common areas beautifully contrast with the darker tiles in meeting rooms, creating a harmonious material palette enriched by the warmth of timber and upholstery.
