Kinetex, flooring with the future in mind

Advance Flooring is excited to bring the Kinetex range of products to New Zealand. Partnering with J+J Flooring in USA means we can now offer our architect, design and construction clients flooring made from recycled post-consumer waste.

Here are the seven reasons to consider Kinetex over hard-flooring alternatives or other soft flooring options.

Recycled from 27 plastic bottles

There’s no doubt that plastic is a fast-growing problem. Kinetex is converting that wasted resource into flooring at a rate of 27 plastic bottles (or equivalent) per floor tile. The PET used in plastic bottles has all the right ingredients to make a great floor covering. (Kinetex is made from 47% post-consumer recycled content (plastic bottles) + 53% virgin PET).

At the end of Kinetex’ long life, our partner in New Zealand will take back your flooring and further recycle it into building protection, insulation, soundproofing and packaging materials (all of which can be recycled again at the end of their life). It will come as no surprise that Kinetex is carbon neutral too.

The quiet performer

Kinetex is designed to make places and spaces, quieter, healthier and safer to be in and move through. From an airport departure gate or classroom to a hospital room you might be required to spend a little more time in.The acoustic advantages of a softer floor are obvious–lower noise levels. Kinetex comes with the perceived added 'warmth' of soft flooring when compared with hard flooring like concrete, stone, ceramic, vinyl or composite tiles.

Stands up to heavy traffic

We’ve rigorously ‘road-tested’ Kinetex to 5 million foot steps, because over-promising and under-delivering isn't in our vocab. That’s the equivalent of 45 years in a typical classroom or office. Did we mention the Lifetime Warranty?

Looks like new – year after year

Kinetex is a contemporary soft flooring designed to complement a broad range of aesthetics without fading or losing colour and texture over time. It is engineered to maintain its attractiveness for decades and is stain resistant, easy to clean with just cold water and dries 75% faster than carpet.

Easy to install and maintain

Kinetex is an entirely practical, long-lasting alternative to hard floors like concrete, ceramic tiles, vinyl, linoleum or even as a replacement for existing soft flooring no longer fit for purpose.

It’s a system designed for longevity and to withstand the everyday use you’d expect of high traffic flooring. It is also breathable, facilitating installation directly on new concrete floors, without risk of trapped moisture and flooring failure.

Safer and better for you

Floors are a big part of everyday life. We stand on them, walk on them, even sit on them.

Kinetex is all about making floors safer and better for you. Not only does it absorb noise, it is less harsh on our bodies than hard flooring. Naturally, it offers greater grip than polished or smooth surfaces, so slips or falls are much less likely.

Kinetex can absorb airborne dust, which can then be vacuumed away. Of course, accidents happen and when they do, Kinetex cleans up quickly and easily.

As a soft flooring it offers less rolling resistance for wheelchairs, luggage, beds and office chairs fitted with castors. It also has reassuringly low VOC emissions.
