A university hall of residence has its entranceways enhanced with Advance Flooring’s  CoralTread.

Providing accommodation for over 500 residents, Garden Halls – Tupuanuku is the University of Canterbury’s newest and largest student housing facility. Spread across three towers, the Jasmax-designed building uses CoralTread entrance matting from Advance Flooring to bring comfort, safety and style to all of its ground-floor entranceways.

With shared and ensuite facilities, communal study and social places, catered dining facilities and games and music rooms, the architects have created a flexible, vibrant and diverse community environment for students to call home. Corridors, stairs and entrances are generous and naturally lit to encourage easy movement and also social interaction.

First impressions of the buildings are enhanced by CoralTread entrance matting, which greets residents and visitors with a stylish and functional solution to keeping interior floors clean and safe. Specifically designed for such high trafficked areas, CoralTread offers heavy-duty performance in trapping dirt and moisture before it can enter.

Made with polyamide inserts set in an elegant, low-profile aluminium frame, CoralTread is laid across the width of the entry foyer. Engineered to fit a shallow recess, the system is easy to assemble, saving on installation time and cost. More resilient than many other entry matting materials, the polyamide inserts are both highly moisture absorbent and slip resistant, reducing the risk of injury.

CoralTread is available in eight vibrant colourways, and because polyamide is a synthetic fibre, it holds dye exceptionally well, retaining its appearance over years of performance. The aluminium frame can be anodised to any colour, creating an elegant, functional system which will enhance any entranceway.
