Supply Chain Solutions - Tidal Road

Adding room for a further 8,000 pallets to their capacity, Supply Chain Solutions’ (SCS) new Tidal Road facility displays their position as one of New Zealand’s leading third-party logistics and fulfilment providers.

The purpose-built, fully drive-around facility was designed to have its back to the prevailing wind, helping to keep the warehouse space cleaner. For the offices, which also house SCS’s digital agency Glass Elephant and creative agency Kollab, SCS chose the protection of ExtraTread entry matting from Advance Flooring.

Glass Elephant and Kollab use innovative techniques to help their direct-to-consumer clients market and sell their products online. To reinforce the office’s sleek professional look, SCS selected ExtraTread entry matting in a custom black anodised finish.

ExtraTread entry matting combines a stylish aluminium frame with inserts of either carpet or rubber for maximum slip resistance. SCS selected black ReTread 100% recycled rubber inserts for their good looks and ability to stand up to years of wear.

Rubber’s durability makes it an ideal insert for entry matting in commercial premises; abrasion and tear-resistant, it can withstand heavy traffic and rolling loads and stay looking good. It is has great anti-slip properties, keeping employees and visitors safe.

ExtraTread incorporates these wide, hard-wearing inserts into an ultra-low 10-mm design with moulded continuous vinyl cushion feet that eliminate noise – creating a professional, high-performance entrance mat.

To match their entrance matting, Supply Chain Solution also specified a custom black anodised finish for the StepTread stair nosing in the interior stairways, and again selected black ReTread recycled rubber inserts. These durable anti-slip inserts improve stair safety, while the sleek aluminium StepTread nosing comes in a range of profiles to complement and enhance different stair coverings like vinyl, carpet tiles or broadloom.
